Who are the Aliens?
The Aliens are characters who were developed through a collaborative effort between Vanderbilt University and Little Planet Learning.

These engaging characters are from a very advanced planet, but there is one glaring flaw on their home world. They can only communicate by telepathy and can only communicate with a few people at a time. They want to learn to read and write so they can communicate on a much broader scale. So Yuhah, Eki, Uuntoh, Baben, and Paivi are sent to Earth to find readers who can help them learn how to read.

Each character has a distinct personality. For example, Yuhah is the Alien leader. His persistent curiosity and dry sense of humor keeps the kids on their toes.
Uuntoh loves music and loves to laugh!
Baben is warm hearted and delights in all things new -- which on Earth is just about everything!
Eki is a fun-loving trickster who's always playing jokes.
Paivi is the record-keeper whose goal is to be able to finally write down all those facts and figures that are clogging up her brain.
The main goal of the Aliens is to encourage the love of reading among young children.
